David Harrison
RIBA
Harry is a partner of John Thompson & Partners and an architect with wide experience of urban design and community planning in both the private and public sectors. His urban design and artistic skills ensure that he has a key role in the practice's community planning work throughout the UK and Europe.
He has worked closely with the practice's most prestigious private sector clients on housing projects ranging in scale from small urban infill developments through to complete new settlements. His projects include a number of significant mixed-use, waterside developments including the award-winning Charter Quay scheme at Kingston-upon-Thames and Putney Wharf, a high-density, mixed-use development that has brought a new vitality to a previously neglected waterfront area by the River Thames. His most recent work has involved large-scale masterplanning and urban design projects, in both rural and urban situations, that reflect current government thinking on mixed-uses, urban design quality, and planning policy guidelines in relation to sustainability.
Harry's paintings and drawings have regularly been displayed at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
